Admiral Custance, the Hon. Mr Brodrick, the Hon. Mr Nicholson (Chief of the Intelligence Department of the War Office), Lord Onslow, and Sir M. Ommanney attended. Lord Selborne explained the Admiralty's views on the Imperial defence proposals, 'which are considered moderate.

Five Premiers spoke on behalf of their respective Governments.

Mr Chamberlain, who presided, spoke last.

The Conference adjourned to Tuesday, when commercial relations will be considered.
