EXTERMINATION OF MISSIONARIES. Received June 11, 10 a.m. Sydney, June 11. A missionary m Northern China, writing to the Secretary of the London Missionary Society, states the avowed object of the Boxers is to exterminate all native Christians and foreigners. Up to the time of writing they had attacked and looted 87 Christian families. Five chapels had been destroyed, preachers and Christians being taken away and held till a big ransom was paid. Other districts were suffering similarly. After strong pressure guards were sent to some of the missions and the missioners were armed.
