THE BOOTMAKERB' DIBPUTE

New Plymouth, December 8. At the Conciliation Board meeting m the bootmakers' dispute, Mr Agger*, Aucklani operatives' representative, under cross-examination, positively refused to state when and where he had received a payment of 25 per cent, for overtime. Evidence was given that the southern makes ot boots were more saleable than those made m A uckland. The Chairman spoke of the goodwill shown on both sides, and expressed the hope that the Board would be able to reach a decision satisfactory to both parties. He congratulated the operatives on having such an able representative as Mr Arnold, of Dunedin. The Board reserved its decision until it reaches Auckland.
