BUBONIC PLAGUE MICROBES.
DR. NANdEN'S VISIT.
[UNITED PBEaa ASSOCIATION.] Melbourne, December 8. Another consignment of bubonic plague microbes, consigned to the Demonstrator of the Pathology University were seized on ship board and destroyed.

The Legislative Council, discussing the Federal resolutions, amended them so as to make the Privy Ooun,cil the only final tribunal of appeal, and struck out Mr McGowen's amendment, adopted by the As- | sembly, providing that other colonies should agree to reconsider certain important provisions.
The Marine Board enquiry into the supposed loss of the ship Mitredale, found she was well manned, sound and seaworthy m every respect at the time of sailing. She probably foundered during an exceptionally heavy gale, just after her departure. The crew consisted of 23 all told.
