THE AUCKLAND SHOW,
[UNITED PBKB3 ASSOCIATION.] Attoklahd, November 11. The Auckland Agricultural Show opened to-day m Potter's paddook. There were 1120 entries, a record number. The judges awarded the ohampion prizes m the pedigree Ayrshires to the Avondale Asylum farm's two-year-old bull, The Prince, bred by A. J. Weybourn. In the draught Btook, best entire, 3 years, the Woodlands Estate's General Gordon won the first and special, The dairy cattle were a great improvement. The Waikato farmers were well represented. Mr Thomas Patton, of Epsom, who showed a bullock m 1843 m a paddock behind the Government Buildings, was one of the exhibitors. Mr Henry Overton, Canterbury sheep-breeder, exhibited Borne sheep.
