Keooived May 9, 11 a.m. * London, May 8. Mr Hawksley, solicitor, has published a statement at the request of Dr Jameeon, exonerating the Ohar~ tered Company from complicity m the raid. The directors of the company cabled to Mr Cecil Rhodes stating • that President Krager's revelations : had caused universal excitement, m consequence of wbioh they hesitated 1 to aooept bis resignation. ( Mr Rhodes replied asking them to defer final decision of the matter, ' and the directors agreed to do so. ' — <
