At the Police Coart this mornintr Thomas Lewis, of Nangaphapa, was charged with failing to send two children to the public school as required by the School Attendance Aot, Two separate informations were laid. In the first it was not proved the name of the boy mentioned in the information was in the notice served on Mr Lewis by the School Committee, and the cise was die« missed. In the other case the Bench held defendant resided within two miles of the school, and ordeied him to send tha girl mentioned to some school forthwith. Costs £2 103 were given against the defendant
