BLOWN UP IN BED. [united pbksb association.] Received July 80, 10.45 a.m. Sydney, July 80. News has been received of a sensational tragedy at Paita, New Caledonia. A convict named Piercourt, employed on Madame Fricott's station, having been discharged for some offence, procured dynamite cartridges and placed them in the lady's bed. Whe she was asleep her body was blown to fragments, and a daughter seven years old was seriously injured. Piercourt afterwards committed suicide by blowing his own head to pieces with another cartridge.
