+ We nra m receipt of this year's handbook of information for the colonies and India, hsued by the British India and QueenßlHnd Agency Company, Limi'ed. This useful compilation, which is now issued for the eighth time, will no doubt prove, as havo proved its previous editions, a kundy book of reference, not only m commercial circles, but also among the general and travelling public. The b ,ok contains a wellwritten desciiption of the 5000 mile run, taken by the steitmers of the United Steam Navigation Company, from Western Australia to the extivme north of Queensland, as well as notes on New Caledonia, Fiji and N.'w Guinea ; and gives some 38 vUws of p.irts »nd places of interest reached therefrom. It is crowded with a mass of valuil>le and interesting information, a special feature being a list of Australian tariffs, arranged so as to allow of ensy c >nipam< n of tha scales of the various colonies ; and generally is a bo"k which supplies a waut m Australasian literature by lo means we'l povideii for. It is stated that the Eev Charles Clnrk, the famous lecturer, purposes making a third tour of Hie colonies.
