[united press association.] London, May 22. At the wool sales there was a good selection and continental buyer? are operating freely, and prices remain very firm. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, limited, is m receipt of the following cable from its London office dated 22nd May 1895 :— Wheat — The market is firm and : spot quotations have advanced Is : } per 496 lbs since last report. Pre- , sent quotations are average and long- ; berried 26s 6d and 27s 6d respectively i and f.a.q. to arrive c.i.f. 22s 6d per •180 lbs.
