HAWKE'S BAY V. CANTERBURY.
We learn from the New Zealand Times of yesterday that the match between the above teams ended m an unsatisfactory draw. It was arranged to draw stumps at 4.30 p.m., to enable the visiting team to catob the boat for Wellington, and at 4 p.m. Canterbury was called on to eooro 45 mm m the second innings m hnlfan-hcur. They just failed to do bo, scoring 41 for the loss ot two wickets, and no doubt the mistake of the Napier umpire closed the game two minntes before the half-hour. Hawkes Bay put together 188 runs m their two innings ; Canterbury Hi m their first, and ia their second hod lost two wioketi for 41 w hen the utumps were drawn.
