TBE INTERCOLONIAL MATOH. [united press association.] Chbibtchobch, February 15. The orioket matoh New Zealand v. New South Wales commenced at Lanoaster Park this morning, when the weather was threatening, heavy clouds hanging about. New South Wales won the toss and went m first on a wicket that had been protected from the rain. Mackenzie and Gould were the first pair of batsmen, L&wton and Robertson being the bowlers. Runs came steadily, principally from Roberteon'B deliveries, and after a quarter ef an hoar's play ten appeared on the board. With the score at 23 Robertson dismissed Gould with a bailer— 23-1-11. Oowley filled the vaoanoy, and after scoring a single Labatt miss6d him at slip. Tbe mistake was not a oostly one, however, as Robertson bowled the new oomer m his next over — 27-2-3. E. Noble then joined Mackenzie, but m Robertson's next <ver the latter was well Caught at the wickets— 32-3-17. The playerß then adjourned for lunoh.
