RUSSIA AND THE SEALERS.
AN APOLOGY DEMANDED. [united pbess association.] London, September 19. A report received by the Admiralty from Rear Admiral Charles F. Hqtham, of ELM.S. Warsprite, flagship on the Pacific station, is startling m its details of the cruelty and indignities to whioh the crews of sealers seized by Russians off the Copper Islands were subjected. It also alleges that the prizo crews plaoed on board the sealers pillaged the cabins of the officers, acd removed everything of any value. Received, September 21, 10.20 a.m. London, September 20 The Times, discussing tha seizure of sealers off Copper Islands, insists that Russia should bs made to apologise for insults to the British flag, and should indemnify the crews. :
