EFFECTS OF THE GALE. , Received October 16, 10.20 a.m. London, October 15. At a meeting of shareholders of the Bank of South Australia the accounts were adopted, and a committee appointed to confer with the directors upon the management of the Bank. It was also decided to reconstruct theßoard of Directors. Proposals to reduce the capital were passed unanimously. The crankshaft of the ParramaUa's frozen meat chamber has broken down m the Bed Sea, and it is feared all the mutton on board must have been destroyed. The gale continues to rage with great violence. The Harbour Extension Works at Dover have been destroyed, and inland many houses and trees injured by the forco of the wind, and rivers are overflowing their banks.
