Schedule hereto is required to be taken," under "The Public Works Act, 1882," and its ! amendments, for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a drain m the Road District of Omaka, Provincial District of Marlborough : And whereas the Omaka Road Board has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by the •statutory declaration and the map, as required by the said Act and the amendments thereof : Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, m exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities m me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1882," "The Counties Act, 1886," and of every other power and authority m anywise enabling me m that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof m the Nev) Zealwnd Gazette, ■ the land mentioned m the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said public work.
