Thousands of Bussian Jews are desirous of adopting the Lutheran religion, bat the edict issued by the Czar forbids them making a confession of faith until the year's probation has expired.
It is Eussian subjects, not Jews, who are being deported to Siberia. A third of the 15,000 are prisoners, the remainder being their wives and families, who are accompanying them.
The Czar has ordered Prince Louis Napoleon, who has been absent on leave consulting the executors of the late Prince Napoleon, to resume his service m the Eussian army, and the command has been acceded to.

Rasaia has accepted the proposals made by Germany for the establishment of amicable commercial relations between the two countries. Under the new agreement Germany \educea the duty on Eussian corn.

Ex-Queen Natalie will appeal to the Supreme Court and demand reparation for the dep rival of her civil rights.
Paris, Maj 20.
It is rumoured that Alphonse Guseave and the Bothsohilds intend to dissolve partnership, owing to the disagreement with respect to financial matters. Some .difficulty is expected to be experienced m settling the accounts m connection with -the recent attempt to float a Portuguese loan of ten millions on the security of the tobacco monopoly._
