WHERE IS THE INSPECTOR OF NUISANCES?
-» I To t^e EDiion. Sir,— l notice that a great deal has been laid about the nuisance of Collie's Hollow but nothing has beea said about a greater one, I suppose becauEe the owners happen to belocg to the upper crust. I refer to the debris from Messrs Holmeß and Bell's fire. Thia sour, putrifying grain, etc, is probably the cause of much of the lever m town and the sooner the proper authorities take steps Id the matter the better. If instead of the Council going to the expense of getting votes on the loan for Collie's Hollow, they had sent the Inspector of Nuisances and ordered this fever bed to be abated it would have givon more satisfaction to the ratepayers. No doubt if thiß hadbeen on some poor maD 8 property he would have appeared before theK.M. ere this. Trusting that my few words will lead to something being done. —I am, &c, Public. Blenheim, 26th Oct., 18S7.
