THE SHOOTING COMPETITION.

•■■ . f - At a meeting of the Shooting Committees of the Blenheim and City Rifles on Satur- j day evening, the following regulations for the conduct of the shooting on Nov. Ist' were made:— 1. Entrance for tradesmen's prizes to be Is, all prizes 2s 6d. 2. .Entrances to close on Thursday, 27th inst., at 8 p.m., at Vol. Hardinga. Handicaps to he declared on. Saturday, 29th, at same place. Post entries Is extra, at scratch. —■ 8. Shooting to commence, at 8 a.m. on NpTember Ist, trapa to leave Marketplace at 1 7.30 a.m. Classes to fire m the follow- _ ing order: — 200 yards— Claa9 2, class 8, class 1 300 „ •— j> 3,- „ 1, it 2 500 „ — „ 1, » 2. » 8 - 600 „ — „ 2, „ 3, „ 1 Classes to be squadded by the Handicap Committee. .4. Competitors to shoot m uniform, and any military head gear of the Company. 5. Any competitor arriving on the ground after his squad has finished firing at any range, to lose his score at that range. 6. Final stages for Handicap Cups to be fired at 200 and 600 yards, live shots at each range. 7. Sergeant O'Flaherty to provide booth for refreshments. 8. One hundred and fifty rounds of ammunition from each Company to be given as prizes m the tradesmen's list. 9. Lieut. Fowler, Lieut. Chuck, and Sergt. McKenzie, to be a sub-Committee to allocate prizes. 10. Handicap Committee : Capt. Rogers, Capt. Griffiths, Lieut. Fowler, Lieut. Chuck, and Vol. Harding, who are to apjpoint two of their number to handicap, to meet after drill on Tuesday, also to arrange other details of shooting.
