(fINITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DuNtniN, July 10. An eight-roomed house owned and occupied by ft. A. Tapper, situated m Ctitn-berland-slreet, was hurnt down this afternoon, the ("no originating through a child playing with fire m a lumber room. The hoiuo was insured for £400, m the South Biitiah. The furnituro for £350 m tho aaiiw office. The owner estimates his loss at over £300 above the insurance. July 11. A fire broke out at the Wellington Wollen Factory's works yesterday, but it waa extinguished before any damage was done. Mr Flugent's dwelling house at IVukakariki was burned down last night. The furniture was saved, The building was uninsured.
