Last night a compromise was declined, and after entering a protest against the Honse sitting on Sunday, the Opposition left the Chamber m a body at midnight. The Government then proceeded with the Bill, and, after passing some clauses, postponed the discussion of the schedule, ani the Assembly adjourned until Tuesday. At the conclusion of the proceedings strangers m the gallery groaned.
