NARROW ESCAPE OF AN EXPLORING PARTY.
(united press association.) ArjOKLiNn, July 9. The exploring party at ltotomahana had a narrow escape for their lives. They were within 200 yards of where the explosion occurred, which w.is seen as far as Tauranga. The Maoris propose to tapn the ground where the Monrimiki natives fell, and also to creot toll gates on the mud fields at the Terraces to raise revenue from tourists.
