MINISTERIAL VICTORY IN SYDNEY.
SIR JOrTN ROBERTSON'S GRANT. Sydney, July 9. The vote of want of confidence m the Ministry proposed by Sir H. Parkes was negatived m the Legislative Assembly last night by 52 to 17. The Bill giving effect to the resolution m favor of a grant to Sir J. Robertson passes through Committee m the Assembly. The Legislative Assembly has been sitting continuously since yesterday afternoon m consequence of the Opposition members stone* walling the Bills to give effect to the alterations to the Customs duties. 10 p.m. The Assembly is still sitting, the House bein» m Committeo on the Customs Bill, lhc galleries have been closed, The point has been raised that there is no House, as the Speaker did not take the chair to-day. Great confusion exists m the Chamber, Messrs Shepfavd and Wisdom wero suspended for disorderly conduct.
