The cricket match, Australians versus AH England, was resinned and concluded at Manchester today. The weather was fine, but the attendance during tho day was small. Tha wicket was uitich cut up. The Australians continued their second innings, which closed for 123 runs, Spofforth carrying out his. bat for 20. Scott, bowled fov 47, Garrett, caught for 22, were the other principal scorers today. Barlow was the most successful bowler for the.Englishmen, semiring 7 wickets for -10 runs. The Homo team then required 100 to win, went m for their secoud innings, and on the fall of the sixth wicket had put together 107 rims. The principal scorers were — Scotton, bowled 29 ; Barlow, caught, 80 ; Steel, not out, 19. Australian Eleven, first innings, 205 ; second, 123; total, 328. All England Eleven, first innings, 223 ; second, 107 for six wickets; total, 380. The Englishmen thus won the match by 2 run?, with 4 wickets to spare.
