THE NATIONAL MUTUAL PRIZE ESSAYS.
♦ (united press association.) Wellington, July 9. Nearly two hundred essays on " Thrift" have been received by the National Mutual Life Association for their prize of 25 guineas. Major Atkinson has agreed to judge the essays and make the award, which it is expected will occupy him a month.
