New Guinea, Sept. 10. Sir Peter Scratchley, the High Commissioner, has arrived here with his attendants, all being well.
Adelaide, Sept. 10. The Bill providing for the payment of members, which was recently passed by the South Australian Legislature, has been rejected by the Legislative Oonnoil. Sydney, Sept. 10. The Pacific Mail Company's s.s. Australia sailed this afternoon for San Francisco, via Auckland, with the homeward English mail. She takes specie to the value of £87,750 from this port.
