Oamaru, April 26. — Grain is being delivered in larpe quantities, but the market is dull, farmers still holding back in hope that buyers will give higher prices. Prime milling wheat, 4s ; oats, 3s to 3s 3d ; malting barley, 4s 6d to 4s 9d ; flour, Lll 5s to Lil 15s ; oatmeal, Ll6 ; pearl barley, L2O ; pollard, L5 ss ; bran, 4s ; potatoes, L2. Dunedin, April 26. — Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co., in their grain report state that millers are operating cautiously, and late quotations are barely sustained. ' They quote wheat, prime milling samples, 4s 6d per bushel, good 4s to 4s 3d, ordinary 3s 9d ; oats, brisk demaud, 3s scl to 3s 6d for prime milling, 3s 4d for good ; feed barley and prime malting wanted, but almost none offering, it is saleable at from 5s to 5s Gel per bushel, prime malting samples 4s 6d for good quality. L3 4s; provincial hams, 6Jd to" 7d ; butter, 6d to lid. Mr Buckland reports best steers, 26s per lb ; long-woolled ewss, 4s to 6s 6d ; wethers, 13s to 18s. Share Market: Buyers, National Bank, 75s ; Colonial, 52s 6d ; South British, 635 ; New Zealand, L6 2s 6d. Christchurch, April 26. — The gram and produce market is very inactive ; wheat declining, and cannot be quoted over 4s 3d ; oats, 3s 3d to 3s 6d ; barley, 4s 3d to 4s 9d ; flour. Ll2 to Ll3 (millers contemplate reducing the price Ll) ; cheese, 6£d ; butter, Bd. The Western Monarch, Cicero, and George Shatton have been chartered by Messrs Cunuinghom and Co. and Messrs Royse, Stead rnd Co. to load wheat for wheat.
