Borough of Blenheim. WEST WARD.— ANNUAL ELECTION. WHEREAS, John Tucker Robinson,' Esq., Returning Officer for the Boiough of Blenheim, has appointed me a substitute for him for the above Election, I therefore give notice that Charles Purkiss, and James Tucker Robinson, have been duly nominated as Candidates for the office of Councillor for. the West Ward of the Borough of Blenheim. I further give notice that a Poll for the Election of ONE of the aforesaid CANDIDATES will be held m the Long Room at the back at the Lyceum Hall, Alfred-street, on Thursday, the 13th day of September, 187-7, commencing at nine o'clock m the forenoon, and closing at six o'clock m the afternoon of the same day. Wariau Road Board. rpENDERS, addressed to the underJL signed, will be received up till 4 p.m. on Monday, the Ist October, 1877, for— Forming and Metalling a portion of the Road through the Narrows ; Forming 90 Chains of Brooby Road ; Repairing the Waihopai Road to Benhopai. The works to Brookby and Benhopai will be shown on Friday, the 28th September, starting from the bridge on Dog Point road at 9 a.m. The works through the Narrows will be shown on Saturday, the 29th September, starting from Starvation Point at 11 a.m. Specifications may be seen at Renwick, and at the Secretary's office, Blenheim.
