Spring Creek Road Board.
rF!HE attention of all property owners i. m the disftict ot Spring Creek is dh'ected to the unde ; mentioned Clause m "The Public Works Act, 1876 " :— If any tree or hedge ovei-hangs a road so as to injure it, or any Gorse be allowed to spread from any hed^e into any road so as to injure the same, the Board may on the certificate of a competent survej r or, or of any two members of the Board, after together viewing the plaoe, that such injury is done, order the part of such tree bo overhanging to be removed, or such hedge to be lowered or trimmed, or snch gorse to be grubbed up ard removed as they direct, and any occupier of the land m which such tree or hedge is, who does not, within one month aafter the receipt of such order, obey the same shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Five Pounds for every day during which such order is not obeyed, and a further sura, equal to the cost incurred by the Board m removing such tree or lowering or trimming such hedge or grubbing iip or removing such gorse.
