Bleniteum Borough Council.

The following is a copy of the Annual Statement for the year ending 31st October, 1876, as pre* sented to thß Council at the recent meeting, but left over from last issue : —

John T. Robinson, Town Clerk. We hereby certify that we have examined the foregoing accounts, and find them correct. As the Books, Receipts, and other documents of the Council were destroyed by the late fire, we have only been able to check the same ; by the evidence of the Town Clerk, Collector of Rates, Bank Pass Book, aud Newspapers. The balance does not agree with tha Bank Pass Book, m consequence of the Bank having, m error, charged a cheque of the School Committee for £3 6s 8d to these accounts, and charged a cheque of £1 to the Education Board instead of to these.
