Resident Magistrate's Court.
BLENHEIM, MONDAY, DEC. 23rd, 1872. (Before S. L. Muller, Esq., H.M., and H. D. Church, Esq.. J.P.) Henry Toiler applied for a renewal of his license for the Tua Marina Hotel, which was granted on the usual conditions, after which Mr Church retired from the Bench. EWART V. KIKHNAN, Mr Church appeared for the plaintiff. This was a summons for £9 35,, the amount of a promissory note twelvemonths overdue. Defendant did not appear. Judgment for plaintiff for full amount, with £2 10s costs. W. LXTCHiTELI) V. MARTIE. A claim for £26 19s 3d, being the amount of a dishonored bill for £26 13s Id, with notice and interest to date. Defendant did not appear. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed and £2 5s costs.
