It also prohibits immigration societies supplying information without the central authority’,s approval. STRIKE AT JOHANNESBURG. CAPETOWN, May 13. A strike ‘occurred at Johannesburg owing to the Town Council refusing ”to concede the demand of the engineers in the municipal employ for a 162s weekly wage'. . The light and tram services were, interrupted and the' city was in partial darkness. A large number of people are unemployed.
