A Czech deputy named Preschek In the Austrian Chamber declared that the Austro-German Alliance had been disastrous and had plunged Austria into a world-war which Germany started. The entire world was hostile to Austria, who was _ suffering for Germany’s crimes. M. Preschek urged Austria to break loose. 'llio Emperor, addressing the party leaders, said he regretted the speech. Tbe alliance with Germany was the foundation of Austria’s security and the basis of her foreign policy. SLEEPING SICKNESS IN HUNGARY DUE TO PREVALENCE OP DEBILITY. Received July 4, 11.5 aan. AMSTERDAM, July 3. The Hungarian newspapers state .that there is an extraordinary epidemic of sleeping sickness in consequence of the prevalence of debility. It differs from tropical sleeping sickness. The sufferers sleep for months and then die.
