Very tew prime quality bullocks were forward, the bulk of the yarding comprising medium to good bullocks and heifers. Competition was keen and prices showed an advance of 10s per head. Quotations are as follows : CATTLE. Rest bullocks to £l4 10s, extra to £ls 10s, medium to £ll 15s, light and unfinished 'to £9, prime heifers to £lO 10s, extra to £l4 IQ*, others £7 to £8 10s. Store Cattle.—Bulls to £9, cows to £6, vcalcrs to £4 2s, dairy c6ws to £7 10s, calves to £1 14s. ! SHEEP. Fat Sheep—Two thousand were penned, consisting chiefly of good quality wethers with a few pens of medium to good ewes. Freezing buyers were operatfreely, and taken all over prices were I about on a par with last week's rates. Quotations: Prime wethers 24s to 275, I extra to 335, medium to good 22s to 235, light and unfinished 20s 6d to 21s Od, prime, ewes to 255, extra to 265, medium to 20s, others 12s to 15s. Fat Lambs. —1053 were penned and late rates were maintained. Quotations : Prime lambs: to 21s, extra to 28s Od, medium to 18s 6d, unfinished to lGs. PIGS. The yarding of pigs was again small, onlly 58 fate and" 35 stores being forward. Uaconers sold well at Inst week's rates. 'Suckers and slips showed a slight advance.
