A tragedy is reported from' Alexandria (a- suburb of Sydney). A young ivitlo.v named Annie Ginmap alighted from a tram and a mail named Charles Thompson accosted her. Mrs Giaman 'ordered him not to talk to her. Thompson fc-lled her to the ground,-and drawing a revolver shot her and then bolted. The police followed Thompson to h:s home, and he refused to admit them. Oil the police, forcing the door Thompson fatally shot himself. The woman's injuries are not seriouii. It appears that Thompson had been trying to force his attention..'} on Mrs Ginman, and on Saturday lie threw a number of bricks through a window of her residence.
