♦ PEE DNITED TRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLNIGTON, July 3. Sir Charles Bowen (Speaker of the Upper House) met with an accident today. He tripped on a mat 'at the "foot of a short flight of stairs leading to a doorway and cut'the bridge of his nose rather badly. Dr Caliill was sent%for and dressed the wounds. Sir Charles stood the shock and pain very pluckily aijd did not postpone his journey to Lytteltou by.the evening steamer.
