PEB UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. | WELLINGTON, July 4. _ Up to the present 79 unions have signified their intention of participating in the congress of unions next week to consider the solidifying of the forces of. Labor and the moije successful protection of mutual interests. These- comprise 22 unions from Auckland and Gisborne, 19 from Wellington and Hawke's Bay, 12 'from the West- Coast and Nelson, 17 from Canterbury, and nine from Otago and Southland * Mr H:ckey, secretary of the- federa- ; tion, which is convening the conference, expects that, upwards of 100 or- ; ganisations will be represented alto- 1 gether. .
. lAmong the business set- down for consideration is affiliation with the re-cently-formed Australasian Federation of Labor.- x
