In regard l to-the sensational arrest of Ernest Ryan it is stated that when lie 'was arrested he was in possession ofl an automatic pistol loaded in seven chambers. Another man and three women have been detained-as the result of. the raid, but were released after a severe examination. Ryan to-day was formally charged with complicity in'the Eveleigh robbery. Th© police, in' asking for a remand, stated that they expected 1 when Ryan was sent back to Sydney he would be accompanied by another "wanted" man, but owing to indiscreet photographs in a paper the whole of the police work would prove abortive, and Ryan would! return alone.
