GERMANY'S CHAMPION FATHER.
Ferdinand Eglinski, aged 53, a tailor in the village of»AMibk)k, on the Baltic, claims to be the champion father in Germany (the 'Daily Mail' says). He married alt 20; !his first wife had; 24 children, and died in 1906; he married her sister, who had' 11 children—triplets once and twins twice. Nineteen hoys and 1 seven girls are alive* and last year six Eglinskis were serving simultaneously in. the Army. On the entry of the sixth son in the Army in 1913 Eglinski was received in audience by the Kaiser, who ordered him to he en\ •terfcained in Berlin at his Majesty's expense for a week. After pressing a 50mark note (£2 10s) in Eglinski'b hand, the Kaiser clapped him on the shoulder and said, "Just keep up the good work, Eglinski!" Cracking his heels at the salute, the man replied, "At your service, Majesty."
