PEE UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. , AUCKLAND, May 13. At a meeting of the Auckland Presbytery Rev. A. Murray resigned the , onvenership of the Bursary Committee on the ground that he "cannot conscientiously help students to study at & iseat of learning under professors one of whom declared recently that the Old Testament is not the word of God." Epv. Bertram objected to an attack upon the character of men who wer© not present to defend themselves. Rev. A. Murray replied that no man's character was attacked. The resignation was acoepted.
