RIVERSDALE STOCK SALE. BY TELEGRAPH. FROM OtJR SPECIAL HEPOHTISR. RIVERSDALE, This Day. The Riversdale monthly stock sale took place to-day in fine weather. There was only a small attendance of farmers owing to grass harvesting. The yarding of sheep was small, only about 1000 head being penned and 100 head of cattle were also yarded. The prices were on a par with recent sales. The National Mortgage and Agency Co., Ltd., sold dairy cows at £7 17s 6d and £4. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., sold 310 twotooth ewes at 17s 3d and passed 120 full and failing-mouthed ewes in wool at lis. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., offered 700 two-tooth wethers, which were passed in at 15s lOd. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., sold 4-3 fat ewes at 16s 6d. Henderson and Co., Ltd., sold 99 ewes and lambs all counted at 9s, and passed in 10 15-month-old steers and heifers at £3. The Southland Farmers' Co-operative Association - , Ltd., sold 9 18-month-old steers and heifers at £3 3s and 7 18-month-old heifers at £4, 28 18-month-old steers and heifers at £3 18s, 22 calves at 375, and passed 4 fat steers at £5 2s 6d, 32 empty heifers at £3 Is, and 3 2-year-old heifers at £3 10s.
