'''■*' CONFERENCE tjf UNIONS. PKK UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHUROH, Jan. 15. The Auckland unions have circularised all other unions stating . that the conference regarding the arbitration law proposed by the Ohinemuri Miners' and Batteries Employees' Union was engineered by the employees, and suggesting a conference of genuine unions at Auckland. Inquiries locally show, that the Auckland proposal is not favored by union leaders here who say the conference would be valueless since the breach between the workers and the Government is too wide to be bridged by any recommendations.
