WAIRIO RACES. The ;r::iual race meeting at Wairio was ho.-l yesterday in perfect racing weather. There was a very large attendance and the totalisator investments were a record. From a good start M'es Signal made the running attended by Hesione and Peerless; then came Mosgiel, with Parable bringing up the rear. Miss Kellerman was first into the long straight, but Hesione closed on her at the distance and won by a length and a-half.
