1 A Sydney cable states that MajorGeneral Godley is a passenger by the Oj;vieto, which arrived at Fremantle on Wednesday. Mr Malcolm, M.P., visited Gore on Thursday to attend the funeral of Miss Russell, daughter of Mr Alexander Russell, who is an old friend of the member for Clutha. „ TT Mr G. E. H. Davis (son of Mr E. H. Davis, postmaster at Gore) has been transferred from the Milton Post Office to Balclutha, vice Mr M. Maclennan (formerly of Gore) who has been transferred to Invercargill. In consequence of Mr Holdsworth being appointed managing director of the Union Steam Ship Company Mr D. A.
