SALE AT WAIMUMU V Messrs J. E. Watson and 00.. Ltd., report as follows:—We held a very satisfactory clearing sale of stock and implements on account of Messrs Searle andi Hiorns, Waimumu, on Tuesday. There was a good attendance and bidding was very spirited from start to finish. The 13 head of dairy cows were in somewhat poor condition, but came out with the satisfactory average of £6 6g 6d per head, prices ranging from £8 15s to £3 10s. The Ayrshire bull brought £lO 10s. The horses were all iight draughts and sold well, bringing £33 10s, two at £29 each and £2O ss, and aged horse £B. The implements (mostly new) were very keenly competeed for, the M.H. binder bringing £26 10s, Duncan roller £ls, Duncan diso harrows £8 and all other goods at very satisfactory prices. The auctioneers deBire to express their best thanks for the excellent luncheon provided by Mrs Searle and relatives, which was highly appreciated by all.

FARMERS' FREEZING COMPANY. PBS UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Sept. 25. The balance-sheet presented at the "doth ajinual meeting of the Auckland termers' Freezing Co., Ltd., showed a ?>rofit of £9608 14s 7d on the year's operations. This, with £2398- 18s lid' trought forward, gave £12,007 13s 6d far distribution. Of this the directors propose to allot £2506 for an 8 per cent. dMdend ; to add £4996 to the reserve tuad (bringing it up to £16,000), and to f>arry the balance of £505 13s 5d forward to next year. The report and bal-ance-sheet were adopted.

The market is discussing the formation of a rubber cartel in order to stay the continuous decline in the price of raw material. The 'Bankers' Magazine' estimate-s that the rubber shares have depreciated £685,000 in a month or £4,470,000 in a year, being equivalent to a decline in value of 100 per cent., while 387 repreciated by 18* millions during the same month.
