CHINAMAN INJURED.
'KOiiYinossv sswrr/r israiNn ns* WELLINGTON, aMrch 19. A Frederick Street fracas last night resulted in a Chinaman being seriously injured. It is alleged that two men ment to a Chinaman's house in the street and a quarrel followed, in which two or three Europeans, including a woman, became involved. The Chinaman, it is said, was struck on -fifie head with a bottle, receiving about a dozen cuts on the head ond face which required medical attention. To-day the detectives arrested Vincent Furniss, who will be charged tomorrow with assaulting Charlie Young Sing in such a way as to cause actual bodily harm.
