Since March 10 the Muddy Terrace Sluicing Company's claim has been fully supplied with water, and three of the plants have been in operation. The Waikaia dredge is still going west, and is now parallel with the downward cut. There is no change to report except that the timber has given out, enabling better time to be made.

The secretary of the Nokomai Hydraulic Sluicing Company reports that owing to an insufficeincy of water No. 1 did not get a start. As soon as No. 3 has finishel blowing tailings, No. 1 will utilise the Lion water. No. 2 finished blowing top material to a depth of 2oft. No. 3 washed up on the 14th inst. for a return of 282k)z. All the plant has been got out of the old paddock ready for shifting lower down the claim.
