Following is Rev. D. C. Bates' weather forecast, issued at midday:—Thej indications are for variable and strong breezes, but south-easterly winds strong ito gale at times. Expect dull weather with much mist iand fog in parte. Heavy rain is to be expected, with the ! livers rising shortly, and some snow in the high country. ■ The barometer is , falling slowly, but will Tise after about 16 hours.
