The amount of grain for the week carried on the Southland railways shows ' a decrease for the previous week. The number of sacks carried last week was 47,600 as compared with 50,535 for the corresponding weak of last year. The totals for the season up to date arc 201,467 as against 576,682 at the same date last year. FROZEN MEAT MARKET. OHRISTCHURCH, May 14.
