WONDERFUL MOTOR-CYCLING.
♦ Although he fell while travelling at 9C miles an hour in his match with D« Rosier, Balke proved a week later thai the spill had not affected him in any way by putting up the most wonderfu performance on record for motor cycling (states the Sydney 'Daily Telegraph') He ■ rode four miles in 2min. 35sec. averaging 38 3-ssec. to the mile. It ii evidently only a matter of a little timi and the two miles will be covered withii the minute on a motor cycle. On tin same day as Balke put up his record Al Ward also smashed the six miles' re cord by riding the distance in 4min 4 3-ssec.
