The receipts totalled £95. The wicket was good. Mead, Woolley, Hitch, and Strudwick gave sparkling displays and the last wicket yielded 50. Foster gave an easy chance before scoring and was never comfortable. Tasmania commenced their second with a deficit of 115, and in an hour made 37 for one wicket.
